The Legend of Spud Murphy

Will and his brother Marty are doomed to spend their holidays in the library. If they put a foot wrong, Mrs Murphy will use her dreaded gas-powered SPUD GUN and you don't want that- just ask UGLY FRANK how he got his nickname! But in Will and Marty, has Spud Murphy met her match...? 

I will recommend this book over the age of 9 because it's a funny story and the cover is introduced smaller children. I will give it 5 out of 5.


I like when they got out of the library I hated when the librarian shouts and gets really mad. I really enjoyed this book so I hope you read The Legend of Spud Murphy!  




   Sigurd the Viking is back in Flotby, but not everyone is pleased to see him. Mr and Mrs Ellis don't know what to do with him until they hit upon a brilliant idea- perhaps a short spell at school would teach the Viking some modern manners...


I also would recommend this book over the age of 9 because it has loads of writing and it would be best for older children.



I liked when the Viking goes to school because it was funny. I hated it when the Viking kisses the teacher. I really enjoyed this book so I hope you read it as well. I will give it a 4 out of 5.

The Longest Whale

   My book is about The Longest Whale Song this girl called Ella is feeling painfully alone. Her best friend has gone off with someone else. Her step-dad is tired and grumpy. The new baby screams his head off. And worst of all, her mum is in a coma in hospital, unable to touch or talk to anyone.

               

A new school project seems a real bore, but the more Ella discovers about whales, the more she becomes enchanted by them. Whales can sing for hours, calling out their love to each other underwater. Could whale song reach Mum in her otherwise silent world? FIND OUT BY READING THIS BOOK!

I recommend this book to anyone I know. My favourite character is Ella because I feel sorry for her. I don't like the step-dad because he's always grumpy. I don't like when the mum gets a new baby and Ella is all sad and alone

I give this book a 5 star rating because it is such a good book and it tells how you fell when your sad and left alone.

I will give this book a 4.5 out of 5 because I didn't like how they run away.My favourite character was Gemma because she's sporty and she is doing what it's best for her friend Alice.
